Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Pehnawa (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and deletes personal data in the Pehnawa mobile app and at thebrandmaster.pk.
Who we are
Pehnawa is a fashion discovery and virtual try-on app for Pakistani clothing brands, operated at thebrandmaster.pk. Contact: [email protected].
Data we collect
When you create an account or use the app, we may collect:
- Account data: name, email address, and a hashed password.
- Profile details you choose to add: mobile number, gender, shopping audience, height, weight, preferred size, and avatar photo.
- Body photos: full-body images you upload for virtual try-on.
- App activity: wishlist items, brand and color preferences, notification settings, and virtual try-on history.
- Device tokens: authentication tokens used to keep you signed in.
- Advertising data: Google AdSense on our website and the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app may collect advertising identifiers, coarse location, cookies, and ad interaction data to show ads.
How we use data
- To create and secure your account.
- To personalize browsing (audience, size, brands, colors, mood filters).
- To generate virtual try-on images from photos you upload.
- To send optional alerts you enable (sales, price drops, stock, colors).
- To show ads that help keep Pehnawa free.
We do not sell your personal information. Body photos are used only for try-on and account features you request.
Encryption in transit
All user data sent between the Pehnawa app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS). Our production API is served at https://thebrandmaster.pk.
Where data is stored
Account data and profile photos are stored on our servers that host thebrandmaster.pk. Full-body photos you upload for Fit Check and generated try-on images may also be stored in encrypted cloud storage operated under our Google account (Google Drive), separate from the public product catalog. Advertising data may be processed by Google according to the Google Privacy Policy.
How long we keep data
We keep account data while your account is active. Body photos remain until you replace them or delete your account. Virtual try-on result images are kept in cloud storage for up to 30 days after generation (or until you delete your account), and copies saved on your device may be removed by the app after 30 days. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your account record and associated personal data as described below.
Your choices
- Update profile details in the app.
- Turn notification types on or off in Profile.
- Delete your account and associated data at any time.
Delete your account and data
You can request deletion of your Pehnawa account and associated data from the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the web: https://thebrandmaster.pk/account-deletion.
Deletion removes your account, body photos, avatar, wishlist, notification preferences, try-on history, and authentication tokens. We aim to complete deletion immediately when you confirm with your password. Limited records may remain in encrypted backups for a short period until those backups rotate.
Children
Pehnawa is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
